Fleximake Pty Ltd in Melbourne's Dandenong South manufacturing team is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop customised mechanical products, provide manufacturing documentation, and support production workflows.

You will use SolidWorks/AutoCAD to translate customer specs into practical designs, coordinate production tasks, perform engineering calculations, inspect equipment, and contribute to safe, efficient operations on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 12 months' relevant experience as Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
• Experience preparing mechanical designs, engineering calculations, and manufacturing documentation.
• Practical CAD experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and producibility.
• Ability to support production operations and troubleshoot.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop customised mechanical products using engineering calculations and 2D/3D CAD tools.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation for CNC cutting and production processes.
• Develop flexible bladder solutions according to customer requirements and dimensions.
• Translate engineering specifications and customer requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Coordinate production labour and allocate manufacturing tasks to support workflow.
• Perform engineering calculations to verify dimensions, material requirements, and performance.
• Support CNC cutting, welding and fabrication processes for textile and plastic products.
• Inspect machinery and production equipment to maintain safe and efficient performance.
• Provide technical support for product modifications, installations, repairs and field requirements.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, installation support and inspection.
• Develop specifications for materials and manufacturing requirements for customised solutions.
• Monitor production quality and ensure conformance to drawings and specs.
