Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings, plans and schematics.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and oversee the manufacture, installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment, machinery components, products, plant and systems.
• Review project specifications and technical documentation to define roles and workflows.
• Analyse production data to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct work measurements to establish performance standards and labour utilisation.
• Prepare engineering drawings and specifications, selecting materials and layouts.
• Coordinate project activities including procurement and delivery of materials.
• Establish and implement engineering standards and safety compliance for equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections and evaluations to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Develop and oversee maintenance programs and project upgrades.
• Investigate mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
