Job summary

Prysmian Group in Western Sydney is offering a 1st or 2nd year Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship based with our maintenance team. You will receive extensive training and pursue a Certificate III in Engineering.

We seek enthusiastic individuals who are ready to learn, work safely, and develop hands-on skills in a global organisation close to Liverpool Station and M5.

Qualifications

• 1st or 2nd year Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship with hands-on training.
• Willingness to undertake a TAFE apprenticeship course (or currently studying Cert III).
• Competent in mathematics and science, with good English speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Using power and hand tools to dismantle, replace and assemble components.
• Work alongside qualified tradespeople in workshop and customer sites.
• Follow instructions and standard procedures to complete tasks.

Ready for a Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship?

We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st or 2nd year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to work with our team, get extensive training and gain a Certificate III in Engineering.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and attentive 1st or 2nd year mechanical apprentice to join the maintenance team based in Liverpool.

This opportunity is also available to those who are eager to start a career as a mechanical fitter.

We offer a convenient Western Sydney Location, minutes from M5 and Liverpool Station.

What you will be doing:

• Using power and hand tools
• Assisting with the dismantling, replacing and assembly of engineering components
• Work alongside qualified Tradespeople potentially in both a workshop and customer site environment

What you need:

• Follow instructions/standard procedures
• Willingness to undertake a TAFE apprenticeship course (or currently studying Cert III in engineering)
• Completed HSC or equivalent
• Competent in math and science
• Good level of English speaking and writing skills
• Ability to learn on the job and be a team player
• Work experience working in a service factory setting or undertaken apre- apprenticeship course
• Evidence of being “hands-on” with a mechanical aptitude
