Job summary

Rosmech Sales and Service in Penrith, NSW, is seeking a self-motivated diesel/heavy vehicle mechanic for a permanent full-time position. You will perform on-site service, diagnose diesel engine faults, and refurbish components in a small but active workshop environment.

Qualified mechanics are preferred, but applicants with plant or heavy vehicle mechanic qualifications are encouraged to apply. An MR licence or higher is advantageous, and a focus on safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient mechanical knowledge with auto-electrical, electrical and hydraulic skills.
• At least two years' experience servicing and maintaining heavy or light diesel products.
• MR licence or higher preferred.
• Commitment to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete all scheduled service and repair work on machinery on site.
• Diesel engine fault diagnosis, repairs and reconditioning.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and rectification of vehicle control systems.
• Replacement or refurbishment of life-limiting components.
• On-site repairs and servicing and attendance to service calls when required.

About the Role

This full-time position based in Penrith, NSW will be working in a small yet active team and will report to the Workshop Supervisor.

• The completion of all required and scheduled service and repair work on various machinery on site
• Diesel engine fault diagnosis, repairs and reconditioning
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and rectification of vehicle control system
• Replacement or service/refurbishment of perishable/useful life or consumable machine components
• On site repairs and servicing
• Attendance to service calls when required

• At least two years' relevant employment experience servicing and maintaining heavy or light diesel products
• Drivers licence rated MR or higher
