Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for our Corio workshop, handling servicing, repairs and diagnostics on trucks, trailers, small plant and earthmoving equipment.

The successful candidate will diagnose faults (electrical and mechanical), work in the field or in our busy workshop, and join a team focused on safety and reliable service in the Heavy Diesel industry.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualifications as a diesel mechanic
• Current Drivers license with minimum ( HR ) required
• A Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Punctual and on time, respectful to others and be presentable
• A self motivated, positive and forward thinker
• Own tools preferred
• Demonstrated experience in the Heavy Plant and mobile equipment industry
• Experience in field breakdowns / diagnostic / fault finding

Job description

A family owned busy heavy diesel workshop based in Corio requires a qualified Diesel Mechanic.

This position will require a self-motivated person that can work on a variety of including and not limited to Small Plant, Trucks and Trailers and Large Earth Moving Equipment.

The successful applicant should possess skills that requires them to diagnose any faults with the vehicles including electrical and mechanical issues.

The applicant will also be required to work in the field, onsite and in our busy workshop.

The position includes general servicing, mechanical repairs, engine change overs and major repairs. With a well equipped workshop and a great team environment this could be your next step in the Heavy Diesel industry.

To be considered for this role, candidates require:

Relevant trade qualifications as a diesel mechanic
