Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter / Diesel Mechanic to join an established team from a well-equipped workshop in Ingleburn, NSW. The role is a dual workshop and field service position, splitting time between major overhauls and mobile diagnostics across Sydney.

You will operate a fully equipped service truck, perform maintenance, and diagnose faults on excavators, dozers, dumpers, water carts and fuel trucks. HR licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy Vehicle.
• HR driver's licence is required for service truck operation.
• Hands-on experience with heavy civil/earthmoving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance and major overhauls.
• Carry out mobile diagnostics and emergency breakdown repairs using a service truck.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and 12V/24V electrical faults.
• Complete job safety assessments and keep service documentation up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and complete mechanical overhauls.
• Carry out mobile diagnostics and emergency breakdown repairs on customer sites using a company service truck.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and 12V/24V electrical faults across civil earthmoving gear.
• Complete job safety assessments (JSA/SWMS) and maintain service documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Trade Qualified: Cert III Mobile Plant Technology OR Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle.
• Licence: Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver's Licence (Essential for service truck operation).
• Experience: Proven hands-on background working on heavy civil/earthmoving machinery.
• Work Rights: Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
