Job summary

Camden Hire is seeking a skilled and experienced mechanic to join our modern workshop at the Smeaton Grange facility, servicing a fleet of hire equipment. You’ll be responsible for maintenance, servicing and repairs to earthmoving and landscaping gear, ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic or Mobile Plant technology.
• Own hand/general tools for workshop duties.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Earthmoving & landscaping equipment, EWP's, forklifts and other hire equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electric faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
• Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections
• Prepare equipment for hire
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation
• Manage time effectively to meet operational priorities
• Ensure compliance with WHS and company safety procedures

About the role

As a Camden Hire Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repairof a wide range of Excavators, Bobcats, Rideon mowers, Scissor lifts, Boom lifts, forklifts and lighting towers. You’ll ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for hire, playing a key role in keeping our operations and customers moving.

You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team that values quality workmanship, efficiency, and safety.

What we’re looking for

• We're looking for someone long-term who is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work.
• Relevant trade qualification (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic or Mobile Plant technology)
• Must have own hand/general tools for in the workshop (Camden Hire to supply diagnostic tools, Power tools, large tools etc)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Working hours are negotiable and will be discussed during the interview process.
