Job summary

Aladdin Automotive And Crash Centre in Adelaide seeks a dedicated motor mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. You will perform intake inspections, diagnose faults using appropriate testing equipment, and carry out repairs and maintenance to keep vehicles running reliably.

The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on experience, with preference for more experienced technicians. You will document services and repairs and ensure quality workmanship across all tasks.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking highly professional, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals with relevant qualifications to come and join our team as the Full-time Motor Mechanic.

Skills Required:

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting intake inspections and diagnostic tests; Identifying worn and damaged parts.
• The accurate detection of faults in mechanical parts and vehicle engines using technical testing equipment such as computers where appropriate.
• Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• The removal and dismantling of mechanical components including (but not limited to) transmissions, engine assemblies and steering mechanisms and completing a thorough inspection of the components.
• Completing required repair work to mechanical components, or where necessary undertaking the replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals Reassembly of mechanical components post repair and conducting relevant tests to ensure the component is fully operational then making any necessary adjustments and re‑testing if required.
• Performance of regular vehicle maintenance services including the replacement of vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune‑ups or lubricants ensuring the vehicles run effectively.

Qualification:

Experience of at least 1 year is required however, candidates with more experience will get preference.
