Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a motivated applicant to join our McDowall store in North Brisbane and lead the meat department. Reporting to the Meat Manager, you will manage a small team, create rosters, place orders and help with stock takes.

You will hold an Australian trade qualification in Butchery and bring a hands-on leadership style, excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a competitive grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential).
• Proven ability to lead and manage a small team.
• Experience ordering and controlling costs in a busy department.
• Understanding of gross profit calculations and margins.
• Hands-on, passionate approach with strong customer focus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.

About this opportunity:

Our McDowall store in North Brisbane is currently looking for a motivated and hard working applicant, to join and assist leading the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Meat Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the management of a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
