Job summary

Austek Asphalt Services is seeking an experienced MC Float Driver to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. This full-time role will see you delivering road construction and maintenance equipment across South-East Queensland, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate low loaders and heavy haulage gear, perform pre-start checks, load/unload, and ensure timely deliveries while upholding traffic management and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• MC float driving experience or similar heavy haulage experience.
• Solid knowledge of load restraint and traffic management practices.
• Strong emphasis on safety and safe work practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

• Load and unload construction machinery unsupervised in an urban environment or remote areas
• Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment
• Deliver equipment and materials to job sites in a timely manner
• Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic management plans
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients

What we're looking for

• A valid Heavy Vehicle (MC) driver's licence
• Construction Card
• Extensive experience operating low loaders and other heavy haulage equipment
• Strong knowledge of load restraint and traffic management practices
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to undergo and pre-employment medical assessment
