Job summary

Active Machinery is seeking a confident, experienced Float Truck Driver for a full-time role based in the Dandenong South area. You will freight our branded earthmoving equipment around Australia, including loading/unloading and arranging permits as required.

The ideal candidate holds an MC Multi-Combination licence with 3+ years of experience, plus heavy machinery cartage experience and strong safety focus in line with the NTC Load Restraint Guide.

Qualifications

• MC Multi-Combination licence with 3+ years experience.

• Experience loading/unloading heavy machinery such as wheel loaders.
• Knowledge of NTC Load Restraint Guide and safety compliance.
• Ability to travel Australia-wide and interstate.

Responsibilities

Truck and Float Driver - Local & Interstate - MC & B Double Active Machinery

We are an experienced Company with national presence in the earthmoving & agriculture industries seeks confident Driver for freight cartage local & interstate.

Active Machineryis an Australian owned Company providing Australian consumers with access to an affordable alternate equipment range, with a focus on providing a fore-front personal service to our clientele.

We are seeking a confident, experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a full time Float Truck Driver.

This position involves primarily freighting our branded equipment range around Australia (to consumers) whilst transporting general cartage of earthmoving equipment.

Whilst supporting an OEM, our sales network delivers far and wide across our great nation- meaning the successful applicant is required to act in a professional and courteous manner as a true representation of our Company (and brand).

Primarily your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivery of equipment and general freight movements throughout Australia (including all jobs associated with loading/un-loading, carrying loads, organisation of permits, etc.) using trucks/vehicles provided by the Company,
• Maintenance and up keep of trucks/vehicles.

To be successful in this role, you will bring to the position:

• MC Multi-Combination licence
  (with a minimum of three (plus) years experience)
• Heavy machinery/earthmoving cartage experience
• Loading and unloading various heavy machinery such as wheel loaders including over-dimensional and over-mass loads
• Safely restraining machinery and equipment in accordance with NTC Load Restraint Guide
• Transporting machinery and equipment to and from various locations (Australia Wide)
• Completing prestart and other operational checklists and administrative paperwork
• Complying with fatigue management and road rules and regulations
• Carrying and understanding all statutory and regulatory permits
• Good knowledge oflocal and interstate roads and Road Rules
• Familiar with OH&S procedures
• Good presentation and hygiene
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  (reliable and trustworthy)
• Excellent work ethic, time management and history
  (no infringements- two plus years clean history)

This is a full time position with the requirement of extended hours to fulfil duty's and is based in the Dandenong South precinct.
