Job summary

Westmead Hospital’s maternity unit is seeking an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to support mothers and newborns during the postnatal journey. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering safe, individualised care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Permanent full-time or part-time positions are available with a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. NSW Health policies, infection control and continuous professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Enrolled Nurse registration with medication endorsement.
• Experience in maternity, postnatal or women’s health preferred.
• Ability to rotate roster including weekends/public holidays.
• Commitment to patient safety and NSW Health policies.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality clinical care and assist with postnatal nursing tasks.
• Support mothers and newborns during postnatal journey.
• Communicate with compassion and assist families; advocate for wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Comply with infection prevention, safety requirements and quality improvement.
