Job summary

UGL Pty Limited in Perth seeks a highly motivated Materials Workpack Engineer to support planning, management and reporting of project materials across E&I and SMP disciplines. You will ensure material availability and workpack readiness, collaborating with engineering, procurement and site teams to drive project outcomes.

You will develop and maintain materials tracking tools and dashboards, conduct data analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and ensure data accuracy across inventories

Qualifications

• Experience in Materials Management and Workpack support within construction, maintenance, resources, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials management processes: planning, expediting, receipting, warehousing, kitting and allocation.
• Experience supporting E&I and SMP disciplines.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, reporting and spreadsheet development.
• Experience developing or maintaining Power BI dashboards and visualisations.

Responsibilities

• Support materials management activities across E&I and SMP scopes for construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate material planning, expediting, receipting, warehousing, kit preparation, allocation and reconciliation activities.
• Monitor material status and availability to ensure workpacks are complete and ready for execution.
• Develop and maintain materials tracking tools, reports and dashboards to provide accurate project status information.
• Analyse material shortages, procurement delays and inventory issues, implementing solutions to minimise schedule impacts.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction and site teams to resolve material-related challenges.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and material management databases.
• Support forecasting, reporting and project controls activities through data analysis and performance reporting.
• Assist in identifying risks, trends and opportunities to improve materials management processes and project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, client requirements and quality standards.
