Job summary

Webuild is delivering the Perth-based Women and Babies Hospital project in Western Australia. We are seeking a Materials Controller to ensure data integrity in Materials Management Systems from requisition through to delivery, supporting the project team on major construction works.

The role is for an initial 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover, with potential extension, based on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

Experience with materials management systems, preferably SAP.
Experience delivering on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
Understanding of cost and stock control in a project setting.
Knowledge of materials and services in the construction industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

Create and manage Purchase Requisitions in SAP.
Ensure materials availability aligned with Construction schedule.
Plan and forecast material requirements and report to site teams.
Receipt of materials into SAP in a timely manner.
Manage materials control for received, handled and issued items.
Inspect and verify materials and documentation to meet project requirements.
Issue materials to site and return to lay down yard for accurate reporting.
Be the site contact for Material Manager, Procurement Manager, and Expediting Coordinator.
