Job summary

FMS Group is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Contracts & Project Controller to manage tenders and pre-contract controls across mining, construction and industrial projects. The role involves coordinating complex submissions, reviewing documentation and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely tenders.

You will support planning, budgeting and mobilisation for successful contract awards, with flexibility for Mackay, Queensland or Welshpool (Perth).

Qualifications

• Experience in Pre-Contracts, Tendering or Project Controls.
• Proven ability to prepare and submit medium to large tenders.
• Strong planning, scheduling and coordination skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail with quality and accuracy.
• Excellent written communication and document preparation.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and client requirements.
• Capability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare complex tender submissions from enquiry to final submission.
• Review tender docs, specs, drawings and commercial requirements.
• Develop tender schedules and manage submission timelines.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for technical/commercial info.
• Prepare tender docs, pricing, methodologies and programmes.
• Assist with estimating activities and commercial reviews.
• Develop project execution plans and pre-contract controls.
• Support project planning, scheduling and budgeting.
• Maintain tender registers and project records.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities in tender docs.
• Coordinate clarifications and post-tender negotiations.
• Assist with mobilisation and handover after contract awards.
• Drive continuous improvement of tendering processes and templates.
