Job summary

Macmahon, a leading mining and civil contractor, is seeking a Material Logistics Officer for the Tropicana Gold Mine, to support the Maintenance Department and keep downtime to a minimum.

You will manage parts procurement, freight movements and SAP-based purchasing, ensuring parts availability across a remote site and coordinating with Maintenance Planners and Supervisors. A strong understanding of mining logistics and SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Material Logistics Officer or Maintenance Planning role within mining or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, source and procure parts and components to support maintenance activities and site requirements
• Raise and process purchase orders, work orders and requisitions using SAP
• Coordinate freight and logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts and critical components to site
• Liaise with Maintenance Planners and Supervisors to forecast maintenance requirements and ensure parts availability
• Expedite urgent orders and manage supplier lead times to minimise equipment downtime
• Provide administrative support for planned maintenance, breakdowns and unplanned maintenance activities
• Create, maintain and close out Job Planning Forms (JPFs), work orders, job packs and maintenance records
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inventory and downtime data while collaborating with suppliers, freight providers and internal stakeholders to support operational efficiency

About the Role

Join the Tropicana Gold Mine team as a Material Logistics Officer and play a key role in supporting the Maintenance Department. You will manage parts procurement, freight movements, and supply chain activities to support a fleet of heavy mobile equipment, helping to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in a Material Logistics Officer or Maintenance Planning role within mining or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics in remote site environments
• Demonstrate experience with various CMM systems
• Knowledge of maintenance KPI's and reporting
• SAP Experience highly desirable
• C Class Manual Drivers Licence
• Roster: 8/6 roster (days only)
