Job summary

Ashford Benjamin Limited, in partnership with a Global Trading Platform, is expanding its Surveillance team in Sydney to cover Australia and Hong Kong. You will analyze alerts in a timely manner to detect and prevent market- or firm-damaging misconduct, identify potential concerns, and escalate abnormal activities to surveillance senior management.

In this role, you will be responsible for the timely analysis of alerts leading to the detection and prevention of market or firm-damaging misconduct, identifying potential concerns, and escalating abnormal activities to surveillance senior management. You will contribute to the design and development of models to enhance surveillance coverage—including conduct risk, compliance policies, and market manipulation—while performing ad-hoc reviews of complex trading activity to resolve issues efficiently. Additionally, you will compile detailed analyses and make findings available to key stakeholders such as Legal and Compliance.

Candidates should have not less than 4 years of experience in market surveillance, trade monitoring, or compliance within financial services, paired with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate trading anomalies effectively.
