Job summary

Ashford Benjamin Limited, in partnership with a Global Trading Platform, is expanding its Surveillance team in Sydney to cover Australia and Hong Kong. You will analyze alerts in a timely manner to detect and prevent market- or firm-damaging misconduct, identify potential concerns, and escalate abnormal activities to surveillance senior management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in market surveillance, trade monitoring, or compliance within financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate trading anomalies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Timely analysis of alerts to detect and prevent market- or firm-damaging misconduct.
• Identify potential concerns and escalate abnormal activities to surveillance senior management.
• Contribute to design and development of models to enhance surveillance coverage (conduct risk, compliance policies, market manipulation).
• Perform ad-hoc reviews of complex trading activity to resolve issues efficiently.
• Compile detailed analyses and share findings with key stakeholders such as Legal and Compliance.
