Job summary

Susquehanna International Group (SIG) is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to lead Compliance technology requirements across the Asia Pacific region. This role bridges Technology and Compliance, covering trading controls, surveillance, monitoring and regulatory reporting.

You will work closely with Compliance, traders and top technologists across APAC markets to understand nuances and build effective trading controls and reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a Business Analysis role in IT with SDLC project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience in a trading firm, investment bank or financial institution.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, strong organizational skills.
  • Strong planning, estimation and risk management skills.
  • Data analysis experience with Python and/or SQL.
  • Commitment to innovation and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to assess, understand, implement and guide requirements.
  • Organize and facilitate development and deployment, manage backlog in a large-scale production environment.
  • Prepare detailed requirements documents with stakeholders.
  • Report project status to staff and management to increase transparency.
  • Understand how hardware, networking, and middleware integrate with software.
  • Assist with testing when required.

Overview

Susquehanna International Group (SIG) has an opening for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to lead our Compliance technology requirements in the Asia Pacific region. You will be the key bridge between Technology and Compliance. Working closely with Compliance and multiple technology teams, you will ensure the needs of Compliance are fully understood and delivered. This will encompass trading controls, surveillance and monitoring as well as regulatory reporting and enquiries.

In this role you will gain new business knowledge and skills by working closely with Compliance, traders and the firm’s top technologists in a global, market leading firm. SIG is growing and trades on many markets in APAC. You will be required to understand the individual nuances of these markets to help the technology teams build appropriate trading controls as well as surveillance, monitoring and reporting tools. This will provide oversight of SIG’s trading activities in APAC across options, equities, futures and more.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborators who can work with other teams & to assess, understand, implement and provide guidance on requirements.
  • Planners who organise and facilitate the development and implementation of projects, who manage back log deployment and understand a large-scale production environment.
  • Prepare detailed requirements document after collaborating with stake holders.
  • Great communicators who effectively report on project status to all levels of staff and management regularly to increase project transparency for all participants and stakeholders.
  • Take a holistic view of systems and understand how the hardware, networking, and middleware layers integrate with software components.
  • Willing to assist with testing when required.
What we're looking for

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Business Analysis role in an IT environment with management of SDLC projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required or other related discipline.
  • Experience within a trading firm, investment bank or other financial institution.
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and organisational skills.
  • Strong planning, estimation, and risk management skills.
  • Data analysis experience with Python and/or SQL.
  • Commitment to innovation with a strong interest in learning.

Good to have:

  • Knowledge of Agile IT Governance for SDLC reviews.
  • Experience with project management and software development methodologies.
  • Experience working with project tracking systems required; experience with Jira preferred.
  • Experience supporting internal/external audits preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python and pandas for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL, MySQL) and the ability write SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools (such as Qlik Sense).
