Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Maritime Warfare and Simulation Subject Matter Expert to support the Royal Australian Navy’s Combat System Simulators (CSSIM) at HMAS Watson and HMAS Stirling.

You will translate naval operational needs into effective simulator capability, lead upgrades, training packages and scenarios, and work with Navy authorities and DXC engineering to ensure readiness across sites.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Maritime Warfare experience.
• 5+ years in the Maritime Synthetic Environment or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a technical specialty area.
• Experience with app development and system integration.
• Experience selecting technical products and vendors.
• Hands-on problem solving with practical technical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; ITAR/defence context appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Own CSSIM operational readiness across sites.
• Act as Maritime Warfare and CSSIM SME to Navy, DXC teams and Defence stakeholders.
• Assess simulator effectiveness with Navy training authorities.
• Coordinate operational and technical issues between Navy, DXC and project teams.
• Design, test and implement CSSIM upgrades and changes.
• Develop, test and deliver simulation scenarios and training games.
• Coordinate system grooms, configuration changes, upgrades and integrations.
• Contribute to performance assessments and continuous improvement.
