Australian Department of Defence at Garden Island NSW is seeking an APS 6 Quality Engineer Capability Management to support the development of maritime ranges and capability testing of platforms, tactics and systems. The role involves independent technical assessment and stakeholder engagement to ensure requirements align with operations.

The ideal candidate assists in knowledge management within a Quality Management System, and will travel across Australia to support ADF exercises and trials,

Qualifications

Experience in systems engineering, capability development, or a maritime warfare domain will be highly regarded.
Strong interest in applying engineering skills as a professional.

Responsibilities

The Role focuses on supporting the development of maritime ranges for Test and Evaluation of platforms, tactics, systems and external effectors.
Analyse, evaluate and provide independent technical advice on capability proposals.
Engage with Defence, industry and government to align maritime range capabilities with operational requirements.
Define, implement and maintain knowledge management frameworks and databases in support of a Quality Management System.
Travel to military test and training ranges across Australia for planning and execution of exercises and test activities.
