Job summary

Australian Department of Defence—Garden Island NSW is seeking engineers to support the development of maritime ranges and advance capability through testing and evaluation of platforms, tactics, and systems.

Ideal candidates will have experience in systems engineering, capability development, or maritime warfare. The role involves engaging with Defence, industry, and government stakeholders and may require travel to ranges nationwide to support exercises and tests.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, capability development, or a maritime warfare domain will be highly regarded.
• Willingness to travel to military test and training ranges across Australia.
• Ability to engage with Defence, industry, and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of maritime ranges to advance maritime capability through Test and Evaluation of platforms, tactics, systems, and external effectors.
• Analyse, evaluate and provide independent technical advice on capability proposals.
• Travel to military test and training ranges across Australia to support planning and execution of ADF exercises, trials, programs, and test activities.
• Define, implement and maintain corporate knowledge management frameworks and databases in support of a Quality Management System.
