Job summary

UpperGround by Hudson is seeking a Project Manager to join Maritime Safety Queensland’s MAI unit in Brisbane. You will manage land-side and marine infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design, supporting implementation of SBH master plans and Scarborough upgrades.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, maintain schedules and budgets, and coordinate with councils, contractors and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with TMR governance and OnQ processes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing infrastructure projects through planning, design and delivery.
• Qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, or planning highly regarded.
• Understanding of procurement, contract management, and financial governance.
• Familiarity with OnQ lifecycle or PRINCE2/PMBOK.
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with project systems such as 3PCM, SAP, or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects through feasibility, concept and detailed design to close-out or handover for construction procurement, ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, management plans, schedules, cost plans, risk registers and other project controls.
• Coordinate planning, environmental, technical and stakeholder requirements to progress projects through approval and assurance gateways.
• Manage procurement activities, including scope and tender documentation, and evaluation of submissions.
• Oversee consultant and contractor engagements, including deliverables and progress.
