Job summary

McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead site delivery on a major marine infrastructure project in Geraldton, WA.

You will coordinate with Project Manager and site teams, drive safety culture, manage costs, quality and schedule, and build strong client and subcontractor relationships.

This role features a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth and offers the chance to experience Geraldton’s coastal lifestyle while delivering complex infrastructure with an expert team.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of construction or engineering experience, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead diverse site teams and subcontractors, with a strong focus on safety, quality, programme and cost control.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction activities to achieve programme, budget, safety, environmental and quality objectives.
• Plan and manage site resources, including labour, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractors, to maximise productivity.
• Drive a strong safety and environmental culture, ensuring site activities comply with relevant legislation, project requirements and company standards.
• Monitor construction progress, costs and performance, identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep works on track.
• Build effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and project teams to support collaboration, resolve issues and achieve successful delivery.
