Job summary

Westernport Marina invites expressions of interest for roles within our operations team on the Mornington Peninsula. We welcome applicants for full time, part time, and casual positions, including casual entry level roles for 16–18 year olds.

Responsibilities

• Launch and retrieve clients' boats to and from wet berths, hardstands and boat trailers.
• Follow established site operational procedures and job safety directions.
• Perform marina berth safety inspections, ensuring site OHS standards are adhered to.
• Perform general equipment inspections and prestart safety checks.
• Maintain the marina site yard, offices, containers and workshops in a clean and tidy manner.
• Complete site basic maintenance inspections and site housekeeping / grounds.

About the roles on offer

Westernport Marina is the largest marina situated on the Mornington Peninsula and is seeking expressions of interest to join our operations team. The positions may include full time, part time and casual roles - we are keen to hear from you!

We may also consider applications for casual entry level positions from persons aged 16 to 18 years old, who are starting their working career.

Key Responsibilities

Launch and retrieve clients' boats to and from wet berths, hardstands and boat trailers

Follow established site operational procedures and job safety directions.

Perform marina berth safety inspections, ensuring site OHS standards are adhered to.

Perform general equipment inspections and prestart safety checks.

Maintain the marina site yard, offices, containers and workshops in a clean and tidy manner

Complete site basic maintenance inspections and site housekeeping / grounds

About You

Previous experience in the marine industry is preferred, working in and around boats, berths and floating pontoons is highly regarded.

Previous experience in use of a Travelift / Straddle Carrier is highly regarded

You hold a current Drivers` Licence.

A current Boat Licence is preferred, but not mandatory.

A Forklift Licence is preferred, but not mandatory.

Strong customer service orientation and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

You have a strong commitment to safe work practices and ability to implement and maintain these practices in a team

A High level of attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy.
