JLL is seeking a motivated Marina Attendant in Sydney to support premium waterfront operations. You will manage vessel movements, coordinate berthing, and deliver outstanding customer service in a dynamic marine environment.

This hands‑on role requires licences, forklift experience, and strong communication skills. Weekend work, safety compliance, and proactive teamwork are essential, with opportunities to develop specialised marina management skills at JLL.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NSW driver’s licence and boat operator’s licence.
• Forklift licence with 2+ years of use.
• Advanced boat driving skills in varying conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional presence.
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to operational demands.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with digital applications.
• Marina/boat yard experience preferred.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level marina services and excellent customer service to all marina customers and visitors.
• Manage day‑to‑day vessel movements using Boat Cloud App and coordinate berthing operations.
• Operate forklifts and handle boats with advanced skills for marina operations.
• Connect vessels with electricity, fresh water, and sewage pump‑out services.
• Respond to telephone enquiries and provide accurate information about marina services.
• Maintain daily logs and records; manage incoming communications.
• Coordinate external contractors on site ensuring OHS compliance and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning and site upkeep to maintain presentation.
• Foster positive relationships with yacht crews, berth holders and the boating community.

Reporting directly to the Marina Manager, the Marina Attendant is an essential part of the Sydney Boathouse operations team, supporting the smooth running of our premium waterfront facility. This hands‑on role combines technical marina operations with outstanding customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic marine environment. An overview of the role:

• Provide high-level general marina services and deliver exceptional customer service to all marina customers and visitors

• Manage day-to-day vessel movements using Boat Cloud App, coordinating berthing operations efficiently

• Operate forklifts and handle boats with advanced skills to support marina operations and vessel movements

• Connect vessels with essential supplies including electricity, fresh water, and sewage pump‑out services

• Respond to telephone enquiries and provide accurate information about marina services and operations

• Maintain daily operational logs, record keeping systems, and manage incoming communications

• Monitor and coordinate external contractors on site, ensuring OHS compliance and safety standards

• Perform physical maintenance tasks including cleaning, rubbish removal, and general site upkeep to maintain facility presentation

• Foster positive working relationships with all organizations and individuals using and interacting with the marina

• Current NSW driver’s licence and boat operator’s licence

• Forklift truck licence with a minimum of 2 years’ operational experience

• Advanced boat driving and handling skills with confidence in various marine conditions

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional presentation

• Flexibility to work weekend shifts and meet the operational demands of the role

• Basic computer skills and proficiency with digital applications

• Marina or boat yard experience with knowledge of the marine industry (preferred)

• Proactive "can do" attitude with a commitment to exceptional customer service
