Reporting to the MD, you will drive improvements, mentor apprentices, and provide clear production updates to management. This hands-on leadership role rewards practical manufacturing expertise.

Lead our factory team, coordinate production and take ownership of delivering quality electrical switchboards safely and on time.

About DNN

DNN Pty Ltd is an electrical switchboard manufacturer based in Carrum Downs. We are seeking a practical, organised Manufacturing Manager who can provide clear direction on the factory floor and help our team deliver consistent results.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands manufacturing, communicates clearly and follows through on commitments.

The role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee day-to-day factory production, workforce allocation, workmanship and safe working practices.

You will work closely with our engineering, projects and warehouse teams to ensure production priorities are clear and jobs are ready to progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and allocating daily and weekly factory work against agreed delivery dates.


• Monitoring job progress, labour hours and production targets, addressing delays early.


• Coordinating with engineering and warehouse staff to identify drawing, material and resource requirements before work begins.


• Maintaining quality standards and reducing rework through clear instructions and timely checks.


• Leading, supporting and holding team members accountable for their work.


• Supporting apprentices and new employees through structured training and mentoring.


• Maintaining a safe, organised factory and ensuring safety procedures are followed.


• Providing clear production updates to management, including risks, priorities and actions required.

About you

You bring sound manufacturing knowledge and the confidence to lead people fairly and consistently.

We are looking for:

• Experience managing or supervising a manufacturing team, ideally within electrical switchboard manufacturing or a closely related industry.


• A strong understanding of electrical switchboard assembly and the ability to interpret technical drawings.


• Proven production planning, scheduling and problem‑solving skills.


• The ability to balance delivery deadlines, quality, safety and labour efficiency.


• Clear communication and a calm, practical approach to resolving issues.


• Experience developing team members and addressing performance concerns constructively.


• Confidence using digital job‑management and production‑tracking systems.


• Relevant electrical or engineering trade qualifications would be highly regarded.

• Working hours of 6:30 am–3:15 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:30 am–11:30 am Friday.
