Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is seeking a Financial Accountant who can operate in a Mandarin-speaking capacity within our Australian finance team in Sydney. You will report to the Australian Financial Controller and support day-to-day financial operations for the Australian business.

The role covers month-end reporting, accounts payable, BAS lodgement, and coordination with audits and budgeting. Mandarin language skills are advantageous, with CPA qualification or progress toward CPA strongly favored.

Qualifications

• CPA qualified or studying towards CPA with 2–3 years' experience.
• Experience with month-end, accounts payable and BAS.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reports.
• Managing the full accounts payable cycle, including invoices, expenses and payments.
• Preparing and lodging BAS accurately and on time.
• Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Supporting management reporting and budgeting.
• Providing documentation for audits, tax returns and FBT.
• Working with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
