Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Accountant for our CBD office. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, based in Sydney. You will support daily accounting tasks, assist with month-end close, HO reporting, and procurement activities while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel/Word, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Mandarin proficiency is a plus and you must be able to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications major in Accounting.
• Advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Process expense reimbursements and manage expense invoices.
• Monitor expenses to ensure alignment with budget.
• Process accounts payable and prepare journal entries.
• Produce daily balance sheet and P&L reports and investigate movements.
• Maintain fixed assets register and perform stocktaking.
