Job summary

The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is seeking a Manager, Standards to join the Policy, Advocacy and Standards Unit in Sydney. You will report to the Senior Manager, Standards and work at the intersection of healthcare, policy and stakeholder engagement to develop and implement radiology and radiation oncology standards across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

RANZCR is seeking a Manager, Standards to join our Policy, Advocacy and Standards Unit. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Standards, you'll work at the intersection of healthcare, policy and stakeholder engagement, supporting the development and implementation of standards that influence radiology and radiation oncology practice across Australia and New Zion and Singapore.

Working closely with clinical experts, committees and key stakeholders, you'll synthesise information from a variety of sources, navigate emerging issues, coordinate complex projects, and help translate evidence into practical outcomes. Your work will contribute to high-quality professional practice and support better outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients.

We're looking for someone with leadership experience and a solid understanding of quality and standards who is excited by the opportunity to further develop their expertise in a complex and evolving environment. What You’ll Do

• Co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of assigned standards programs, consultations and activities in accordance with approved plans, governance requirements, and organisational priorities.
• Support committees, working groups and clinical experts through effective project coordination, meeting documentation, follow‑up actions and governance pathways.
• Prepare high-quality reviews, reports, consultation responses and member‑facing communications relating to clinical and professional standards and guidelines.
• Synthesise information from multiple sources, including clinical expert input, policy developments, evidence, stakeholder feedback and sector intelligence, to inform standards development and College positions
• Contribute to the development of clear, evidence-informed advice on matters relating to standards in radiology and radiation oncology practice.
• Monitor relevant policy, regulatory and sector developments to inform standards work.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with internal teams, members, clinical experts, committees and external stakeholders to support standards development.
• Support communication about RANZCR’s standards work to members, stakeholders and the broader community through clear, accessible and engaging communication.
• Identify and escalation complex issues, risks and opportunities in a timely manner, drawing on relevant evidence, stakeholder input and organisational knowledge.
• Keep the Senior Manager informed of key developments, risks, and opportunities relating to assigned standards programs and activities.
• Manage, support and develop employees within the reporting line, including workload planning, performance development, coaching and contribution to a positive team culture.
• Contribute to quality improvement, evaluation and continuous review of standards programs, processes and resources

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in standards, health or a complementary discipline or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation, coordination and monitoring of standards and quality programs.
• Demonstrated experience co-ordinating operational activities, including work planning, reporting and risk management.
• Demonstrated experience in project co‑ordination, project support and quality assurance, with the ability to contribute to multiple projects in a high activity environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to coordinate input and manage competing expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to capture, analyse and translate information from multiple sources to support priorities, organisational responses, planning and activities.
• Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to translating strategic objectives into operational plans and deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including staff, Fellows, trainees, and clinical experts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in preparing a range of written materials for different audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work constructively in complex or sensitive situations.
