Job summary

Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn is a values-driven social services provider seeking a Manager - School Counselling Program to lead over 30 school counsellors across the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn.

You will oversee operations, budgets, accreditation tasks, and a culture centred on excellent client service, while supporting staff through changes and reporting to governance bodies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology or Social Work or related discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience.
• Experience in the management of social/community services.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team.
• Commitment to a child safety framework that is client centred and trauma informed.
• High initiative and strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card (ACT), Working with Children's Check (NSW) and be willing to undergo a police check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of service functions including supervision of team members.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecast updates.
• Coordinate accreditation activities for ACT/NSW and liaise with Quality Management.
• Lead/champion client service-focused culture within the work area.
• Assist team members to keep abreast of program changes.
• Prepare and provide correspondence and reports for funders and management.
• Regularly report on progress against plans and priorities with risks and opportunities.
• Assess opportunities for partnership development and business case proposals.
