Job summary

Halcyon Knights is assisting a large NSW Government agency in Sydney to appoint an experienced Manager - Policy, Procurement and Operations. The role leads operational service delivery, procurement governance, contract management and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and coordinate audits and regulatory compliance across the business while building strong stakeholder relationships with internal teams and service providers.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management within NSW Government or similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NSW Procurement Policy Framework and governance requirements.
• Experience managing contracts, suppliers and service providers.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and operational frameworks.
• Knowledge of risk, compliance, audit and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

About the client

Our client is a large NSW Government agency seeking an experienced Manager - Policy, Procurement and Operations to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead operational service delivery, procurement governance, contract management, and compliance functions within a complex and fast-paced environment.

About the role

• Lead the day-to-day operations and business administration functions


• Oversee procurement activities and ensure compliance with the NSW Procurement Policy Framework, probity requirements and internal policies.


• Manage contracts and service providers, including oversight of the Ground Maintenance and Bushfire Risk Mitigation Contract.


• Support governance, risk, WHS and compliance activities across the business.


• Monitor operational performance, reporting, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.


• Coordinate audits, inspections and regulatory compliance requirements.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.


• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers.

About You

• You will have proven experience in operations management within NSW Government or a similarly regulated environment.

• $70-$90 per hour + super
