Job summary

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking a Manager Clinical Coding to lead the Clinical Coding Department at Perth Children’s Hospital. You will ensure the integrity of clinical data to support high quality paediatric care across WA.

Reporting to the Director Medical Services, you will build a capable team, oversee performance, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to advance coding standards, ABF classification, governance, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a clinical coding or health information team.
• Expert knowledge of paediatric coding, ABF and classification standards.
• Ability to translate complex data into practical solutions.
• Strong governance, audit and quality assurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Clinical Coding Department at Perth Children’s Hospital.
• Oversee service performance and stakeholder relationships.
• Drive improvements in coding quality, clinical documentation, and analytics.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
