Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Health Information Management (or equivalent) with professional membership eligibility.
• Extensive clinical coding, auditing and quality improvement experience.
• Strong knowledge of activity-based funding, classification systems and data quality principles.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing clinical coding team to deliver accurate, timely and trusted health information.
• Partner with clinicians and leaders to strengthen documentation quality and drive best-practice coding outcomes.
• Champion audits, education and improvement initiatives that enhance performance, consistency and data integrity.
• Build capability, lead innovation and influence service-wide improvements that make a lasting impact.
