Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service in Toowoomba, QLD is seeking a Manager Clinical Coding to lead a high-performing coding team and drive quality, accuracy and timely health information across the region.

You will partner with clinicians and leaders to improve documentation, champion audits and training programs, and lead service-wide improvements that positively impact funding outcomes and patient care. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Health Information Management (or equivalent) with professional membership eligibility.
• Extensive clinical coding, auditing and quality improvement experience.
• Strong knowledge of activity-based funding, classification systems and data quality principles.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing clinical coding team to deliver accurate, timely and trusted health information.
• Partner with clinicians and leaders to strengthen documentation quality and drive best-practice coding outcomes.
