Job summary

Bevilles Jewellers in Melbourne is looking for a Manager in Training to work with the Store Manager, coaching a sales team and delivering outstanding in-store experiences.

You’ll be hands-on with daily operations, drive KPIs and help build a high-performing team culture while advancing into leadership when the Store Manager is away.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail, sales or customer service experience.
• Experience in a team leadership, supervisory or mentoring capacity.
• A love of coaching others to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with team leadership, coaching, and performance.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through storytelling and product expertise.
• Hit personal sales targets while guiding the team to meet store goals.
• Champion brand visuals through in-store presentation and merchandising.
• Assist with stock control, cash handling, rostering, compliance and store audits.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and inspiring workplace for the team and customers.
• Lead by example in customer service, professionalism and personal presentation.

About the Role:

As a Manager in Training, you’ll work alongside your Store Manager to coach and lead a sales team while delivering exceptional in-store experiences. You’ll be hands‑on in day‑to‑day operations, driving KPIs, and helping create a vibrant, high‑performing team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Store Manager with team leadership, coaching, and performance
• Delivering exceptional customer experiences through storytelling and product expertise
• Achieving personal sales targets while guiding the team to meet store goals
• Championing our brand through impeccable visual merchandising and store presentation
• Contributing to stock control, cash handling, rostering, compliance and store audits
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring workplace for your team and customers
• Leading by example in customer service, professionalism, and personal presentation

What We’re Looking For:

You're passionate about people, performance, and jewellery. You lead from the front, thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment, and know how to inspire a team.

• 1–3 years of retail, sales or customer service experience
• Experience in a team leadership, supervisory or mentoring capacity
• A love of coaching others to succeed
• A flair for storytelling and building genuine customer connections
• Ability to work within a Sunday – Thursday roster
• A strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and personal pride
