Job description

CBH is a leader in the Australian grain industry and the country's largest co-operative. Our work has meaning and is creating an exciting future - we're delivering WA's grain to the world. Our advanced logistics network stretches across the State, connecting the growers of WA with our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth in different roles and locations.

Ready to make an impact on a global scale with a local company?

We are CBH. We are what you're looking for.

The Role

Known as the Manager - Marketing at CBH, you'll lead CBH's grain marketing strategy, developing markets and customer relationships that create long-term value for WA growers.

Reporting to the Head of Trading and leading a team of seven, you'll bring together market development, WA grain brand positioning and commercial investment. Working closely with Trading, Operations and Shipping, you'll turn strategy into practical plans that support grain sales across domestic and international markets.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and deliver the annual Marketing Plan, translating business priorities into measurable customer, market and grower outcomes.
  • Lead, coach and support the Marketing team, building capability, clear accountabilities and collaboration across the business.
  • Grow customer, agent and industry partnerships to strengthen market access and progress new business opportunities.
  • Manage marketing budgets, business development investment and regional agent arrangements, with clear oversight of returns, governance and commercial risk.
  • Partner with Trading, Operations and Shipping to support grain sales, improve customer outcomes and strengthen WA grain positioning through provenance and sustainability.
About You:
  • A tertiary qualification in business, marketing or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in bulk commodity trading or sales and marketing of grains, oilseeds or foodstuffs, with a clear understanding of customer needs, market access and the factors influencing commercial returns.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a large, complex organisation, developing team capability, setting clear expectations and supporting people to deliver against business priorities.
  • The ability to translate market insights and business strategy into practical plans, alongside trusted relationships with customers, agents and senior stakeholders that support market growth and lasting partnerships.
  • Sound commercial and financial judgement, with experience managing budgets, assessing business development opportunities and prioritising investment while understanding risk and governance obligations.
