• Annual base salary from $126,306 - $140,543 per annum (HEW Level 8) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading
• Full-time, continuing appointment

As Manager, Collection Services, you will lead and develop the Collections Services team to deliver equitable, streamlined access to library resources, with a particular focus on prescribed learning resources that enable student success.

About the Role

You will oversee core services including resource procurement, interlibrary loans and resource sharing, unit readings, accessibility services, and open educational resources, while developing the standards, documentation, and procedures that support consistent, scalable service delivery. You will work closely with the Library Management Team to deliver on Waranara Library's Strategic Plan 2025-2029.

Reporting to the Director, Resources and Discovery, you will translate Library and University strategy into prioritised plans, service roadmaps, and measurable outcomes that improve library services and the client experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the Collections Services team to deliver equitable, timely access to prescribed and other learning resources
• Provide strong people leadership through clear expectations, coaching, performance development, and workforce planning to build a high-performing team
• Ensure excellent end-to-end delivery of interlibrary loans and resource sharing, unit readings, accessibility services, open educational resources, and procurement
• Partner with academic and professional stakeholders to understand needs, manage expectations, and improve staff and student experience
• Drive continuous improvement using data and feedback (including service standards, KPIs, and turnaround times), and report recommendations and risks to library management
• Maintain fit-for-purpose procedures, process controls, and documentation to support consistent service delivery
• Ensure compliance and risk management across the portfolio (including copyright and licensing, privacy/confidentiality, WHS and EEO)
• Manage vendor and licence relationships to ensure value, quality, and continuity of service

Selection Criteria

• Degree in an information management related discipline, with extensive management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, and qualifications/training.
• Significant leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead innovative, high-performing teams.
• Extensive experience designing workflows, procedures, and implementing continuous improvement particularly in interlibrary loans, procurement, accessibility services, open educational resources, and unit readings management.
• Extensive experience in integrated library management systems and specialist technologies supporting interlibrary loans and unit readings such as Alma, Leganto, Rapido, RapidILL.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing stakeholder and partner relationships.
• High-level knowledge of copyright, licensing and intellectual property requirements relevant to resource acquisitions, interlibrary loans, accessibility services, open educational resources, and unit readings management, and demonstrated ability to apply this in practice.
• Experience developing and implementing service delivery plans, programs and initiatives and proven ability to analyse and interpret highly complex information from numerous sources.
