Job summary

Macquarie University invites applications for a Manager, Collection Services at the Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde. You will lead a team delivering equitable access to learning resources, overseeing procurement, interlibrary loans, and resource sharing as part of the Library's Strategic Plan 2025–2029.

Reporting to the Director, Resources and Discovery, you will translate strategy into plans with measurable outcomes, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement and risk

Qualifications

• Degree in information management or equivalent with extensive management experience.
• Experience leading innovative, high-performing library teams.
• Experience designing workflows and improving interlibrary loans and related services.
• Knowledge of Alma, Leganto and interlibrary loan systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Collections Services team to ensure equitable access to learning resources.
• Provide strong people leadership and workforce planning.
• Oversee interlibrary loans, resource sharing, procurement and related services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve staff and student experience.
• Drive continuous service improvement using data, KPIs and risk reporting.
• Maintain procedures and controls to support consistent service delivery.
• Ensure copyright, licensing, privacy and WHS compliance across the portfolio.
• Manage vendor and licence relationships to ensure value and continuity.
