Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking a permanent, full-time Manager, Casework to lead a team of four Case Managers on the Central Coast. The role focuses on delivering trauma-informed care within the Foster Care Program, supervising, coaching, and developing staff while promoting best practice and collaboration.

The position requires tertiary qualifications in Community Services or related field, 4+ years of casework experience, and a willingness to work occasional weekends and on-call

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in casework (OOHC/child protection preferred).
• Experience in managing or leading teams.
• Strong understanding of trauma, child development, and therapeutic care.
• Knowledge of Restoration, Preservation, Adoption and Guardianship.
• Budget and care package management experience.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

• Deliver high-quality casework through CatholicCare’s Therapeutic Care model.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development to your team.

• Support young people and families through permanency planning and connection to specialist services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including DCJ and the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
• Prepare reports and contribute to strategic planning and service delivery.
