Job summary

The CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is seeking a skilled Level 5 Caseworker to join our Tuggerah team on a permanent full-time basis, five days per week. You will work with families, DCJ and service partners to reduce risk, delivering trauma-informed, strength-based, family-centred casework and maintaining caseload autonomy.

Successful candidates will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related fields, 3+ years in child protection case management, and a commitment to culturally

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related field.
• Proven experience delivering casework to families with complex needs.
• 3+ years in case management within child protection.

Responsibilities

• Engage with families in complex situations, building trust through respectful practice.
• Conduct comprehensive whole‑of‑family assessments and document defensible judgments.
• Co‑design a Family Plan aligning goals with child safety and wellbeing.
• Define actions and timeframes across systems to promote sustainability.
• Provide practical, therapeutic supports over time with adaptable interventions.
• Maintain flexible availability, including after-hours when required.
• Prepare high‑quality case notes and reports for DCJ and internal reviews.
