Job summary

Nulsen Disability Services in Perth, Western Australia, seeks an experienced leader to take the reins of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation services. You will lead a team of Residential Service Managers, drive operational and financial performance, and uphold a culture of choice, dignity and independence for participants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams in a complex, multi-site service environment.
• Strong knowledge of the NDIS, NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission, and Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
• Genuine commitment to human rights-based, person-centred practice.
• Sound financial and operational management with ability to handle competing priorities.
• Excellent relationship-building, with ability to influence and negotiate.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and other clearances including police check.

This isn't a desk job with a disability label on it. It's a genuinely hands-on leadership role where the decisions you make, the culture you build, and the standards you hold your team to directly shape the everyday lives of the people we support.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll lead and support a team of Residential Service Managers across our SIL homes, driving operational, financial and quality performance while championing a culture of genuine choice, dignity and independence for every participant.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Leading with purpose - coaching, supervising and developing a team of Residential Service Managers to deliver consistently excellent, person-centred support.
• Driving quality and compliance - keeping Nulsen ahead of the curve on NDIS Practice Standards, Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practices requirements.
• Owning operational performance - managing budgets, rosters and resourcing across multiple SIL homes to ensure sustainable, high-quality service delivery.
• Championing contemporary practice - helping evolve our accommodation model toward greater individual choice and control, including Individualised Living Options.
• Building genuine relationships - partnering with participants, families, the NDIA and other stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver on what matters most to the people we support.
• Being a trusted advisor - providing the Chief Operating Officer with high-level advice, reporting and support on strategic projects.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Proven experience leading teams in a complex, multi-site service environment - disability or human services experience highly regarded.
• Sound working knowledge of the NDIS, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and contemporary Positive Behaviour Support / restrictive practices frameworks.
• A genuine commitment to human rights-based, person-centred practice - you believe in choice and control, not just compliance.
• Strong financial and operational management skills, with the judgement to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Excellent relationship-building skills - you can influence, negotiate and navigate difficult conversations with empathy.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one), National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check and driver's licence.
