HammondCare is seeking a Management Accountant to join a small professional team in Sydney with hybrid work options. The role covers month-end/year-end accounting, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, and general financial support for care portfolios.

You will work with the GM Finance and auditors, coordinating budgets and financial analyses while ensuring compliance with aged care regulations. Pre-employment checks apply.

About the role

About the role The Management Accountant works within a small team of professionals responsible for month-end and year-end financial and statutory accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, fixed assets and capital projects as well as general support for enabling portfolios. This is a permanent position based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include Month-end and year-end financial and statutory accounting, prudential reporting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets and capital projects. Ensuring the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and end of year reports. Identify and act on improvements in current procedures to enhance efficiency and timely presentation of reports. Assist the GM Finance in preparing regulatory reporting (eg. Government acquittals). Manage the processing of general ledger journals, corporate allocations, reconciliation of operating system to general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations. Liaise with the Corporate Finance Team and the external and internal auditors to assist in the audit and review processes. Support in the coordination and management of the annual budget and forecasting process, working with Business Managers and Accountants. Coordinate and manage revenue team, maintenance and updating settlement operating system for charges to subsidy and fee rates. Managing and supporting one direct report Work closely with Finance Officers ensuring best possible client services, understand and apply Aged Care Regulations, debt management and recovery.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
