Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Management Accountant – Home Care and Independent Living, based in St Leonards with hybrid working options. The role focuses on month-end, year-end financials, budgeting and capital projects, with potential future direct reports.

The ideal candidate is CPA/CA qualified (or working towards it) with 3–5 years in a similar role, strong admin skills, and experience in the Home Care sector. Familiarity with SUN and Epicor is advantageous.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualified (or working towards).
• 3–5 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing a team (desirable).
• Strong administrative and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exposure to SUN and Epicor systems advantageous.
• Exposure to the Home Care Sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports.
• Prepare regulatory reporting (government acquittals, ACFR).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and benchmarking processes.
• Manage General Ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual Budget and Forecasting with Business Managers and Accountants.
• Liaise with external/internal auditors and support audit processes.
• Ensure data integrity between operating systems and General Ledger.

In the future this position may have direct report(s).This is part-time position 3 days per week, based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities.How you’ll make an impact:Ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and end of year reportsIdentify and act on improvements in current procedures to enhance efficiency and timely presentation of reportsPreparing regulatory reporting (eg.
