FourQuarters Recruitment is partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation in Melbourne to recruit a Management Accountant. You will manage month-end, reporting and analysis to support organisational performance.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, exposure to budgeting, forecasting, grants accounting and process improvements, with opportunities to implement Power BI reports and drive financial insights.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Advanced Excel incl. pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
• ERP systems exposure, preferably Dynamics 365 BC.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.
• CA/CPA qualifications preferred but not essential.

• Review P&L and balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports with insights.
• Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting with senior management.
• Calculate and reconcile government grants and funding streams.
• Assist with financial systems improvements and process efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain management reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Support external audits and ensure accounting standards compliance.

Join a well-established not-for-profit organisation offering a broad Management Accountant role with exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.

The Opportunity:

FourQuarters are partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation within the education sector to recruit a Management Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys a combination of hands-on financial accounting, management reporting and financial analysis.

You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities and identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review P&L and balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports, providing meaningful insights into business performance.
• Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and areas requiring attention.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with senior management.
• Calculate and reconcile government grants and funding streams.
• Assist with financial systems improvements, reporting automation and process efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain management reports and Power BI dashboards.
• Support external audit requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and complex formulas.
• Exposure to ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• CA/CPA qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
