Job summary

Talentpath is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant in Brisbane. The role partners with operations to influence performance through insightful reporting, forecasting, budgeting and costing analysis in a busy manufacturing environment.

This hands-on position works closely with operational leaders to drive productivity and profitability, including cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis, with a focus on continuous improvement and accurate financial data.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong skills in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Hands-on cost accounting including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience analysing margins, labour costs, overheads and operational performance.
• Advanced Excel skills and systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights.
• Partner with operational leaders to drive business performance.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing and overhead allocations.
• Investigate cost variances and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations and audit requirements.
• Develop KPI reporting and performance dashboards.
• Conduct financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis.
• Drive process improvements and reporting efficiencies.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and costing information.
