Bentley Recruitment is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to oversee the accounting and financial management of a diversified portfolio including commercial properties, investment entities and major residential developments in Australia.

You will lead a small team, liaise with external development managers and tenants, and manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities with complex transactions.

Qualifikationen

• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
• Experience in management/financial accounting within the property development sector.
• Experience using Xero.

Aufgaben

• Manage invoices for specific property developments and ensure they are included in monthly creditor listings.
• Oversee offshore staff and in-office undergraduate.
• Review bookkeeping completed in Xero by offshore staff.
• Manage and review bookkeeping for ~10 investment entities with high values but low volumes.
• Manage and review bookkeeping and accounts payable for seven commercial property entities and three residential properties.
• Raise and send monthly rental invoices and outgoing recoveries for commercial properties.
• Update feasibility budgets monthly.
• Liaise with external development managers and tenants.
• Prepare monthly utilisation requests for property development entities to funders.
• Collate invoices payable to suppliers for monthly utilisation requests.
• Upload bank payments for property entities.
• Calculate and pay monthly distributions to investors.
• Organise insurance for commercial properties.
• Process payroll and superannuation for a small number of entities monthly.

About the Role

Working as a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial management of a portfolio of property and investment entities. The portfolio includes commercial properties, investment entities and three large-scale residential developments, including projects with construction budgets of $50m+. You will work closely with external development managers and tenants, while also overseeing a small team responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping.

• Manage the email inbox for invoices relating to specific property developments and ensure all invoices received are included in monthly creditor listings and utilisation claims


• Assist with the oversight of three offshore staff and one in-office undergraduate


• Manage and review bookkeeping completed in Xero by offshore staff


• Manage and review bookkeeping for approximately 10 investment entities, which have high transaction values but low transaction volumes


• Manage and review bookkeeping and accounts payable for seven commercial property entities and three residential property developments


• Raise and send monthly rental invoices and outgoing recoveries for commercial properties


• Update feasibility budgets monthly


• Liaise with external development managers and tenants


• Prepare monthly utilisation requests for property development entities to send to funders

About You

• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) or currently working towards qualification


• Previous management/financial accounting experience within the property development sector


• Experience using Xero


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This role sits within an established public practice firm focussing on one of their largest clients. The role is commercially focussed, and no tax work will be necessary.

The team has approximately 30 staff and works with a diverse client base including high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, larger groups, and ASX-listed businesses.
