APAC Michael Page is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract within a well-established industrial organisation in Australia. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and partnering with operations teams.

You will prepare month-end journals, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and work with operational managers to analyse performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations and reporting.

• Review and maintain general ledger integrity. Respond to day-to-day finance queries from operational stakeholders.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and partnering with operations teams and the larger business.

With a strong national presence and a collaborative finance team, this role offers the opportunity to partner closely with operational stakeholders while gaining exposure to a large, structured business environment.

Description

• Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations and reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting
• Partner with operational managers to analyse business performance
• Prepare financial reports and provide commercial insights
• Review and maintain general ledger integrityRespond to day-to-day finance queries from operational stakeholders

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within industrial environment
• Strong month-end, reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence working with large data sets
• Experience operating within a medium-to-large organisation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accounting qualifications (CA/CPA or equivalent advantageous)
• Exposure to ERP systems, ideally within a complex operating environment
