Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corp. is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team in NSW. You will deliver accurate management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.

You will partner with key stakeholders to monitor financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure strong governance and financial controls. A background in construction, project or infrastructure finance is highly regarded.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI reporting experience.
  • Experience with reporting and financial systems.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Finance or Financial Systems will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in construction, project and infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to monitor financial results, risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain financial data integrity across general, project and works ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including variance, trend analysis, forecasts and project budgets.
  • Coordinate labour cost reporting, including FTE coding and project allocations.
  • Support grant, funding, regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate budgets, forecasts, variations and reporting submissions, including Board, Financial Governance Committee and FP&A requirements.
  • Perform capital accounting activities, including capitalisations, adjustments, disposals and asset/project reviews.
  • Collaborate across Finance teams to deliver consistent outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support statutory and regulatory reporting.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded ManagementAccountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will provide accurateand timely management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisto support business performance and decision-making. You will partner with keystakeholders to monitor financial results, identify risks and opportunities,support business cases and investment decisions, and ensure strong financialcontrols and governance.
