Job summary

Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is seeking a Male Group Facilitator to deliver trauma‑informed group programs for men who have used domestic and family violence. This part‑time role focuses on accountability, safer relationships, and community safety within a culturally responsive framework.

You will assess suitability, run groups, provide counselling, and collaborate with partner agencies to strengthen coordinated responses. Experience in crisis support and DFV framework is valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for working with diverse clients and partners.
• Trauma‑informed and strengths‑based approach to service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess client suitability for group programs and provide ongoing case management.
• Facilitate men’s behaviour change groups and deliver individual counselling per guidelines.
• Encourage accountability and assist clients to take responsibility for their actions.
• Provide information about protection orders, legal processes, and referral pathways.
• Collaborate with police, courts and community organisations to coordinate responses to DFV.
• Work with Indigenous mentors and co‑facilitators for culturally safe service delivery.
• Support community education programs to prevent DFV.
